Conscious Hip-Hop: Macklemore x Ryan Lewis "WINGS" Official Music Video

As cliche as it may sound, Macklemore is a gem in a sea of rappers. Unlike most artists who embrace our culture, Macklemore not only sees, but exposes our society for it's faults. His virtue stems from his honest ability to stand up for truth. In "Wings" Macklemore stresses consumerism's responsibility for destroying individualism and he questions the relevance of material value. Why do we really put so much emphasis in the shoes we wear? He's definitely made a fan out of me. Listen up.

Fresh Kicks: Givenchy Scratch Sneaker

High-Tops are by far my favorite shoe (for the most part) but I would have never gone with white sneakers until I laid my eyes on these wonderful sneakers manufactured by Givenchy. Brooklyn-based rapper, Fabulous, continues to kill the airwaves with his latest track, Y'all Don't Hear Me Though ft. Red Cafe, off his latest mixtape. In the video, Fabulous not only performs at Vinnie's Shop but he also raps atop the historic Brooklyn Bridge. His latest album, Loso's Way 2: Rise To Power, drops this September. Stay Tuned.

Tattoos: Should I Get A Full Sleeve?

My fascination with tattoos stems back to my early childhood. I was in Florida, on vacation with my dad, who decided that he wanted to get some ink. He returned from the tattoo shop wrapped up and sore, explaining to me just how painful his experience had been. Unraveling the bandages he revealed a small tattoo on the side of his arm that read: Sin. Ever since then my allure for tattoos has multiplied. I was on a mission for ink. It only took me one drunk evening in St. Marks and an impulsive afternoon in Glasgow, Scotland to finally get it right. One tattoo was in the bank, leaving me content but still unsatisfied. There's that feeling of catharsis you get after you've finished a tattoo, like you've created a new identity or a part of yourself has changed. Plus the color and vibrancy of fresh ink is so striking and vivid; it couldn't get any better. So the question is, should I continue tatting my left arm until I've finished a full sleeve? Well, everyone seems to have their own opinion: Oh, when you get older, what then? For me, life is a moment to moment affair. The only thing that really matters when I'm older is, when I reminisce about my younger days I can be certain of one thing: I lived, fully. Any thoughts?

Adidas collaborates with the very talented Jeremy Scott on their latest JS Bones for Fall 2011, a Flintstones inspired pair of kicks, with removable Dino bones attached to the laces. The animal print and teal designs throw me off, but overall, it's an extremely impressive design, to say the least.

Video: Skylar Grey- Dance Without You

Skylar Grey who's signed to KIDinaKORNER/Interscope and collaborated with the likes of Kanye West, releases Dance Without You, the latest single off her new album, Invisible, due to release later this year. The content of the video is horrid, taking place in a patient's room at a mental institution whose driven by a black demon inside of her, all the while she's singing a song about heartbreak. Gruesome is an understatement, but on a positive note it's nice to see some change from the drab music industry.

Directed and commissioned by Kat Moross, the video has a tomboy meets Chloe Sevigny appeal, mixed with animal prints, baseball jackets and preppy florals that are A Bathing Ape standard. Lowe makes Bape less urban, more sexy and feminine. Get excited ladies!

Alexander McQueen's Men's Spring/Summer 2012 Fashion Show was a 70's acid trip gone wrong, the patterns mismatched, vertical and horizontal lines were paired awkwardly and the cuts seemed uncomfortable. Far deterring from Alexander's gothic sensibility, Sarah Burton, Alexander McQueen's latest creative director, fails to meet the high standards expected from such a historically renowned fashion house. Thoughts?

My lovely friend, Melissa Basaran, is not only a talented singer and recent National Geographic model, but she's also a scholastic with high ambitions. Her latest project delves into the life of a pious muslim women under city life conditions, in order to better define how we associate Islamic culture and it's portrayal in our society through the lens of a video camera. Fresh Track: Heatwave- Chiddy Bang ft. Mac Miller

Although Chiddy Bang's Mixtape Peanut Butter and Swelly dropped a couple weeks ago, I just can't seem to get this song out of my head. Heatwave is a summer classic, from it's hard bass drops to Mac Miller's featured verse and it's sweet melodic instrumentals. In all, it's one of the hottest tracks on the mixtape along with Dance With the DJ (Remix) and Baby Roulette. The Drexel duo is at it again, so don't forget to add them to your iTunes playlist.
