Crazy New Concept!

This Nokia phone charges through body heat!

Throwing Away The Alarm Clock By Bukowski

my father always said, "early to bed and
early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy
and wise."

it was lights out at 8 p.m. in our house
and we were up at dawn to the smell of
coffee, frying bacon and scrambled
eggs.

my father followed this general routine
for a lifetime and died young, broke,
and, I think, not too
wise.

taking note, I rejected his advice and it
became, for me, late to bed and late
to rise.

now, I'm not saying that I've conquered
the world but I've avoided
numberless early traffic jams, bypassed some
common pitfalls
and have met some strange, wonderful
people

one of whom
was
myself—someone my father
never
knew.

Mixtape

The anticipated mixtape is postponed for a couple of weeks till I finish the last few songs and get the finishing touches on the quality etc. The tape will be out asap and I'll be working on an end-of-the-year album too. Hope all of you are ready, plus the music video for Assman will be out soon to. Happy Halloween!

Food for thought

Cat Haiku

You never feed me.
Perhaps I'll sleep on your face.
That will sure show you.

You must scratch me there!
Yes, above my tail!
Behold, elevator butt.

The rule for today:
Touch my tail, I shred your hand.
New rule tomorrow.

In deep sleep hear sound
cat vomit hairball somewhere
will find in morning.

Grace personified.
I leap into the window.
I meant to do that.

Blur of motion, then --
silence, me, a paper bag.
What is so funny?

The mighty hunter
Returns with gifts of plump birds --
your foot just squashed one.

You're always typing.
Well, let's see you ignore my
sitting on your hands.

My small cardboard box.
You cannot see me if I
can just hide my head.

Terrible battle.
I fought for hours. Come and see!
What's a 'term paper?'

Small brave carnivores
Kill pine cones and mosquitoes,
Fear vacuum cleaner

I want to be close
to you. Can I fit my head
inside your armpit?

Wanna go outside.
Oh, poop! Help! I got outside!
Let me back inside!

Oh no! Big One
has been trapped by newspaper!
Cat to the rescue!

Humans are so strange.
Mine lies still in bed, then screams;
My claws are not that sharp.

In the mail (finally)

Super hyped.

Kanye's New Short Film

Birthday Girl

I've been in acquaintance with the beautiful Melissa Basaran for a couple of years now, as a result of her "notorious" garden parties. She turns nineteen tomorrow and I want her to know that she inspires me creatively and I wish her the most joyous birthday possible. I wish I could celebrate it with you! Happy Birthday!

Marques Toliver on Jools Holland!

I've been following Marques' work ever since our first encounter in the summer of '09 in Williamsburg in what I'd call a serendipitous moment, to say the least. The first time his bow caressed the violin I was in shock and since then he's never seized to surprise me. His lyrics are as poignant as the sun slipping through the cracks of cloudy storms, transcending conventional ideals to empathetic wisdom. This past summer I had the pleasure to witness, along with a small assortment of people, Marques' performance in a lavish Soho loft on the most beautiful summer eve.

The picture describes the aesthetic, maybe the mood too, but it fails to explain the catharsis I felt listening to Marques' words resonating off the brick walls, surrounded by a niche of intellectuals, friends and family, bubbling with beer and wine but infatuated with musical grace.

Now, only months later, he's on Jools Holland. He's going to be famous. He inspires me.

We fly high, no lie, you know this!

New Jay-Z Mixtape: Hov 3D

Brooklyn, we go hard!

We need more of this...

Somehow we need to bring the cravat back into mainstream fashion. Christian Dior is a good example of what I'm talking about, with their rendition of the cravat; the butterfly bow tie.
Subsequently, high fashion should emulate periods like the renaissance or baroque, by their apparel not their chastity ideals (ha). I think that this might help create more androgynous and less gender-specific expectations for society because a lot of the men, especially at this point in history, wore makeup and dressed more extravagantly than women. Just a thought.

Inspiration

i carry your heart with me by e.e. cummings

i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear;and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)
